Department of Applied Chemistry

Department of Applied Chemistry was established in 1990 with special assistance from University Grants Commission with the following twin objectives :

i.	To generate trained manpower for Pharmaceuticals and Allied Chemical industries
ii.	To carry out research in advanced areas of Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemicals

Department has made significant progress in realization of these objectives.
M.Sc Applied Chemistry course was designed in consultation with pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
Students passing out from this department are being readily accepted by the industry all over the country.
