Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in 1995 with dual
objective of providing trained manpower for rapidly expanding
pharmaceuticals and allied chemical industries and to carry out research
in advanced areas of pharmaceutical sciences.
Department has made significant progress in realization of these
objectives. It is well known to produce diligent and erudite
pharmacists. Students passing out from this department are being readily
accepted by the industry all over the country. So far seven batches have
been passed out from this department.

The maximum number of Research Fellows- 16.
Presently the number of students has grown to 130.

Development of novel drug delivery systems using iontophoresis.
Development and evaluation of liposomal drug delivery systems and
targeted drug delivery system.
Photosensitivity of pure drugs and formulated products.
Synthesis and evaluation of 1,3-Diazabuta-1,3-dienes as potntial
antimicrobial agents
Pharmacognosy, phytochemistry and plant Tissue culture.
